Man laments inability to bring his children home after 30 years in Europe

A Nigerian man living overseas has posted a heartfelt video in which he laments his inability to take his kids back to their native Africa.

The TikTok user known as @55roderick4 disclosed in the video that he departed Africa more than three decades ago in pursuit of better opportunities in Europe.

Despite having multiple children while living overseas, he bemoaned the fact that he was unable to bring them home to experience their heritage due to financial limitations.

The individual also emphasized that he is not the only one in this situation, stating that many European Africans deal with comparable difficulties.

He also considered how many people are finding it harder and harder to achieve the “American and European dreams” that brought them to other countries in the first place.

“It has been over 30 years I left my homeland to travel to Europe and seek for greener pastures. For over 30 years, I was able to give birth to many children.

“Now, throughout this period of time, I have not been able to take my children to Africa. Every end of the year, we spend it here in Europe. It is not as if I do not want to take my children to go see their homeland where their parents came from. But the reality is, I don’t have the money to sponsor that trip,” he stated.

As the post circulated online, it attracted numerous reactions, with concerned individuals flooding the comment section to express their thoughts.
