After giving a woman N15,000 and receiving an unexpectedly unappreciative response, a young Nigerian man expressed his frustration.
The user, who went by the handle @ibukun_xi on X, described the event in reaction to a widely shared post by well-known content producer Layi Wasabi. On the platform, Wasabi started a discussion by inviting his followers to share their worst experiences with ingrates.
“I know say heartbreak dey pain o but you don help ingrate before??” he asked.
Many users poured in their experiences. One user, @_Ojonya, shared, “Paid someone’s rent on here and she went ‘thanks.’

In response to the post, @ibukun_xi described how a woman had contacted him and begged for a N15,000 cash gift in order to pay a N27,000 prescription bill. He sent the entire amount without hesitation.
However, the lady’s response left him stunned. Rather than a proper thank you, she simply replied with the letter “T.” Confused, he asked for clarity and was met with, “Lol T for thanks.”
The encounter has since gone viral, with reactions pouring in suggestions around retracting the payment.
