A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to express her frustration after a man asked her to spend the night at his house before he could offer her food, following her online plea for assistance.
After the woman shared screenshots of their conversation on the X platform (formerly Twitter), the incident triggered a lot of reactions.
She claims the man got in touch with her after reading a post in which she said she was having trouble and needed food.
At first, he seemed eager to assist and asked where she was. His discovery that she is a single mother, however, caused the conversation to take an unexpected turn.
After that, he asked in an inappropriate way, “Would you mind coming to see me? I have today and tomorrow off from work. Do not worry, I will give you plenty of food and cash. I need someone to keep me company because of the cold weather.”
The message shocked and infuriated the woman, who called him out right away and threatened to block him if he did not stop talking.
Sharing her experience online, she wrote: “I don’t even know how to react. This person just spoiled my whole mood this morning.”
The screenshots attached to her post revealed more of the conversation, which has since gone viral, drawing reactions from concerned Nigerians who flooded the comment section to condemn the man’s behavior and express support for the woman.
