A Nigerian man confronts a woman he met on Instagram, accusing her of defrauding him after they met in person.
Benkingsley Nwashara, a man, made the accusation on his X page while posting pictures of the woman he claimed had conned him.
In his account of what happened, he said that he had assisted the woman on Instagram, but she persisted in wanting to meet in person.
He claimed that after receiving nearly 20 calls from her, he gave in to her requests.
Benkingsley Nwashara claimed that she had called him while they were meeting at a bar, asking for N5800 to pick up her stuff from a dispatch rider and pledging to be back in a matter of minutes.
He claimed to have given her the money but to have waited impatiently for her to come back.
Later, after realizing what had happened, he left the restaurant and confronted her on his X page.
He posted her pictures on his page and cautioned people not to mess with her.
Remarkably, a few online users have admitted that she allegedly did the same to them.
Benkingsley Nwashara wrote …
“A lady I helped on IG on Monday kept chatting me up that she needs to see me physically. It was weird. She called over 20times
I obliged her today & we agreed to meet at a bar.
We met, I bought her a drink and we started conversing. I Was eager to hear what she’s got to say.
Midway into the conversation she answered a call (though her phone didn’t ring) and asked me if I could send her N5800 to pick up her goods from the dispatch rider that is waiting for her somewhere.
She told me she’s coming back immediately…
And that she would give me back the money before we leave the bar. I sent it. Also gave her 1500 cash as she requested to pay the rider.
She was suppose to be back after 5mins
I sat there for like 1hr30mins sipping my drink and waiting.
She never returned. Her phone turned off
I’ve sent her a message that after 24hrs if I didn’t get my money back, she would be very popular online.
I’ve sent my account details to her.
Now she’s calling incessantly.
I have about 20 of her pictures.”
