Man accidentally transfers ₦200k instead of ₦20k, causing the vendor to go offline

A Nigerian man who sent a vendor ₦200k instead of ₦20k and the vendor went offline has vowed to take action.

The man described his experience in a post on X, which was formerly Twitter, detailing the incident.

In the post, he clarified that the vendor had messaged him, requesting his business, and that no sales had occurred this year. The vendor was supposed to receive ₦20,000, but he accidentally sent ₦200,000 instead.

He contacted the vendor three days after discovering the mistake and requested a ₦150k refund, with the remaining amount being given as a gift. ft. However, the vendor suddenly went offline.

Since then, the man has set a deadline for the refund and threatened to take further action if the money is not returned by today at 7 a.m.

His full statement read: “You came to my DM begging me to patronize you because you hadn’t made a single sale this year. I bought something for ₦10k, asked you to give it to someone nearby, and wanted to send ₦20k but mistakenly transferred ₦200k.”

“You locked up. When I realized the error on the third day, I asked you to send ₦150k and keep the rest, but you suddenly went offline.”
