A Nigerian lawyer was fined ₦24,000 by the Lagos State government a few seconds after he parked his car by the side of the road to look into an engine noise, and he vented his frustration online.
Using the social media site X (previously Twitter), the attorney @MalachyOdo1 shared the incident.
He clarified that he heard an odd noise coming from his car and stopped to investigate, discovering that it was coming from the engine area.
a.However, he found out that the Lagos State government had fined him for parking by the side of the road not long after he had stopped.
He wrote:
“You park by the roadside to check out a noise coming from the engine area and the next thing you get is a fine! Lagos IGR no go kpai person.”
