A man’s post explaining why he was slapped by a lady at a mall has gone viral online.
The man, @Doyinbiolaa on X (formerly Twitter), shared that the incident happened after he took a photo of the lady without her knowledge.
According to him, he was at the mall trying to get some snacks when he saw a woman bending down to pick an item. Thinking it would make a “nice candid shot,” he snapped a photo—forgetting that the camera’s shutter sound was on.
“Then I saw a girl bending down to pick something. I think, ‘This would make a nice candid shot.’ Only I forgot the shutter sound was ON. Click. She looked up, our eyes met… and suddenly, I realize I might have just triggered a full-blown Lagos crisis,” he wrote.
The lady immediately confronted him, asking why he took her photo. Before he could respond, she slapped him, but no further altercation occurred.
“Face burning, my snacks trembling in my hands, was just standing there, questioning everything about life choices and mall safety,” he recounted.
