A woman has sparked debate online after sharing an unusual experience from a recent date that ended abruptly when the man she was with asked her to pay for their meal.
According to her account, the two had planned a Saturday evening outing, and the man insisted on taking her to his favourite restaurant for the date.
However, shortly after they arrived at the venue, the situation took an unexpected turn.
The woman said the man told her he had reached his daily transaction limit and asked if she could cover the bill, promising to refund her later.
“Do you mind paying? I’ve reached my daily transaction limit, I’ll refund you later,” he reportedly said.
Feeling uncomfortable and caught off guard by the request, she decided not to continue with the outing.
“I turned and left immediately,” she explained.
