A lady’s post explaining why she physically confronted a man who allegedly followed her 19-year-old cousin home at night has gone viral online, stirring mixed reactions.
The lady, identified as @foreverdeb on X (formerly Twitter), recounted that the incident began when her cousin stopped at a bus stop to buy fruits and encountered the man.
According to her, the man trailed the young lady from the bus stop all the way to their apartment, despite her cousin showing no interest in engaging with him.
“I just finished beating up a man that followed my 19-year-old cousin from the bus stop where she went to buy fruits to my apartment door. Guys, he followed her to her DOOR because, in his words, he wants to ‘talk to her,’” she wrote.
She further revealed that the man didn’t attempt to flee even after the door was opened by another person in the house. Instead, he reportedly stood there smiling, which she described as unsettling.
“He didn’t even run when someone opened the door for her because he saw another girl. He stood there creepily smiling and said he just wanted to talk to her—that’s why he followed her,” she added, expressing outrage over the situation.
The post has since generated a wave of reactions online, with many users debating issues around personal safety, harassment, and whether her response was justified.
