Woman in shock after receiving an eviction notice after renovating an Ikeja, Lagos, apartment for N4 million.
The woman who posted a video of the apartment before and after she spent millions renovating it described the incident in detail.
The woman claimed that she had been living in a shared apartment within a building and that she was looking for a flat. She was told that there was a space in the same building by the caretaker, who has been receiving her rent.
Knowing the man, she had sent the money in the hopes that the place would be nice because she trusted him.
She disclosed that the apartment was a complete mess when she eventually got the key.
She felt that the entire place needed a makeover and invested millions of naira in plastering, replacing tiles, mending the interiors, and other improvements.
She had spent up to 4 million naira on the entire renovation.
A few months later, she mentioned receiving a letter informing her that she would have to vacate after her rent expired, along with an explanation that did not exactly sit well with her.
The man claimed that it was sent by a senior caretaker and that he had no say in the matter when she called to voice her concerns. He denied being at fault.
