Following her boyfriend’s breakup two days prior to Valentine’s Day, a Nigerian woman took to social media to vent her frustration.
In an X (previously Twitter) post, she disclosed that her boyfriend had inquired about her Valentine’s Day wishes, to which she replied that she would like a Mercedes GLE 450 and a bouquet of ₦250,000.
However, instead of granting her wish, he chose to break up with her.
Describing his action as “childish,” she wrote:
“Breaking up with me two days to Valentine’s is childish. You asked me what I wanted, and I told you—a Benz GLE 450 with a ₦250K money bouquet. If you knew you couldn’t afford it, why ask? You should’ve just bought any gift without asking.”
Her post quickly went viral, sparking reactions from netizens who flooded the comment section with diverse opinions.
