Lady calls out Benin man for getting her pregnant and refusing to take responsibility

A Benin man has come under fire from a Nigerian woman who claims he must marry her after he got her pregnant and refused to accept responsibility.

In a video that went viral on the social media site X (formerly Twitter), the woman described how she met the man online and how, after some time of dating, he asked her to come see him in Benin.

She stayed at his house for a few weeks before going back to Lagos.

When she returned, she started to have feverish symptoms and tested positive for pregnancy in two months.

The man denied responsibility when she contacted him, saying she had dated other men.

But the woman refused to back down, insisting that he was to blame and accept responsibility for the pregnancy.

Her statement: “My name is Presh Baby, known as Sugar Mummy in Lagos. I’m tired of hiding this, I can’t keep it to myself anymore.”

“I met this guy online in the second week of November, and we hit it off. We started dating online, and eventually, he invited me to Benin to visit him.”

So, I went to Benin in November and spent over three weeks, almost a month, at his place before returning to Lagos. When I got back, I realized I hadn’t seen my period in December, and in January, I started feeling sick and found out I was pregnant—two months along.”

“I told my guy that I’m pregnant. I missed my period for two months, and he told me I wasn’t serious and should go to the other men I had been with.”

But I was with him from November to December. What do you guys even want? After telling me you love me and can die for me, now you want to abandon me and the child? No, that won’t happen.”

“I won’t let you go. You have to come and take responsibility for the child you put in my stomach because my parents won’t allow it.”

“How do you want them to feel when they find out I’m pregnant? You have to marry me. It must happen. If I come to Benin, you won’t like what happens next. Anyone who knows this guy should tell him to come and take responsibility for what he has done to me.”

As the post and video gained traction, concerned individuals flooded the comment section, sharing their thoughts on the situation.

@geoffreydpr: “Now look at the boy , does he look as someone who can take care of him self , such a beautiful girl sorry.”

@VC_Ekezie: “The time they were eating forbidden fruits they did not give us oh. Now that the consequences of eating forbidden fruit have cast that’s when they decide to carry us along without a chọp belle full. Munu lee me on.”

@askcarguy: “Responsibility is key. If it’s his, he needs to step up. If there’s uncertainty, a DNA test settles it. But calling him out publicly? That just adds drama to an already tough situation.”
