Renowned Nigerian comedian Kenny Blaq sparked outrage during a recent visit to a hotel on the day of President Bola Tinubu’s inauguration.
When the comedian noticed a photograph of the immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari, prominently displayed on the hotel’s reception wall, his visit took an unexpected turn.
Kenny Blaq had intended to book a room at the hotel but was surprised to see the previous president’s portrait.
His surprise and disappointment are expressed.
He said;
“Na Buhari still be president for here oh, ahn ahn.. we can’t afford it.”
His remark alluded to the hotel’s failure to replace the portrait with one of President Tinubu, implying a lack of readiness for the new era.
The receptionist and another staff member can be seen and heard attempting to assuage Kenny Blaq’s concerns in a video of the incident.
They apologized for the oversight and assured him that the portrait would be replaced with one of President Tinubu.
They pleaded with the comedian not to leave and promised to fix the situation right away.
