Kehinde Ilesanmi has been appointed as the new comptroller of Kwara Customs

According to Chado Zakari, the command’s public relations officer, Comptroller Kehinde Dehinde Ilesanmi took over as Customs Area Comptroller of Kwara State Command on Friday.

Comptroller Ilesanmi succeeded DC Hussaini Jallo, who was acting.

The new command chief charged officers and stakeholders with maintaining their level of discipline, improving revenue collection, and closing down smuggling routes in the state.

He vowed that the command, led by him, would continue to be tough on smugglers, apprehending them and seizing their illicit goods.

Ilesanmi assured that he will work tirelessly to build on the accomplishments of his predecessor, revealing that, with the ongoing border drill exercise, the task of effectively securing the country’s land border remains his top priority.

The comptroller enlisted the full support and cooperation of the command’s officers and men in order to effectively manage the command’s affairs and combat smuggling and other trans-border crimes.

He also sought the assistance of sister agencies, with the goal of consolidating the command’s existing synergy with all critical stakeholders.

Ilesanmi had previously served in various commands, including as Comptroller Nigeria Customs Service Board Headquarters, Abuja, before being assigned as the Area Comptroller of Kwara Command.
