The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, stated that the registration for the 2022 general elections contains 93,469,008 voters.
Yakubu revealed to 18 political parties in Abuja on Wednesday that 44,414,846 registered voters are females and 49,054,162 are males.
Meanwhile, the total number of registered voters between the ages of 18 and 34 was at 37,060,399, accounting for 39.65% of all registered voters. In comparison, the elderly aged 50 to 69 accounted for 17,700,270 people, or 18.94% of all registered voters.
Every other arrangement, he claims, is in full swing, including the distribution of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).
The INEC chairman stated that with the presentation of the voter registration, the commission has completed 11 of the 14 actions planned for the 2023 general elections.
He stated that the INEC has no plans to postpone the upcoming poll.
