Segun Wire’s mother has issued a public apology for her son, who became an Internet sensation years ago after a video of him saying he wanted to be a “Yahoo Boy” when he grew up went viral.
After the video went viral, singer Zlatan expressed interest in him and promised to assist him. Zlatan kept his word and took him in, becoming his manager and featuring him in one of his music videos.
Their bromance was cut short when Segun Wire’s family accused the singer of ripping him off.
A video of the singer Zlatan being attacked by hoodlums allegedly related to Segun’s family also went viral at the time.
Following the incident, Zlatan reversed his decision to assist Segun and stated in a series of interviews that he regretted assisting the youngster.
In a recent development, Segun’s mother apologized to Zlatan in a viral video.
She admitted wrongdoing to him and begged him to forgive them. She explained that they are currently in a difficult situation and begged Zlatan to come to their aid.
“I know I’ve offended you, this suffering is too much, forgive me, forgive Segun. I beg you in God’s name. This suffering is too much”. She said in Yoruba.
