Ace Bright Okpocha, professionally known as Basketmouth, a Nigerian comedian, has refused to address the claim made by his colleague, Ayodeji Richard Makun, popularly known as AY, that the cause of their feud was a N30,000 debt.
In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, AY Makun stated that at the start of his career, Basketmouth frequently contacted him to perform at events.
He claimed that the 17-year rivalry with Basketmouth began after he attended an event where the organizers had anticipated Basketmouth’s attendance.
He admitted that he hadn’t been paid and had to contact Basketmouth, who confirmed that the organizers hadn’t.
When AY called the event’s organizers, he was surprised to learn that payment had already been made.
Basketmouth refused to comment or give his side of the story when asked about the situation during a live comedy performance.
He clarified that he does not want the actor to ever receive an answer from him, and he does not want what he says to be interpreted as an official statement to AY by the public.

@EseDevlin: the common truth about quarrels is that the party that ghosts and refuses to reconcile is one that was hurt the most. the one that tries to force reconciliation is the one that was the aggressor, who’s feeling guilty
