Singer Tiwa Savage shared a lovely account of her meeting and subsequent relationship with rapper Olamide.
Tiwa Savage disclosed how Olamide rejected ₦100 million for a verse in her song after his management billed her.
Olamide, according to the Stamina crooner, did not charge her because of their close relationship as siblings and his awareness of the challenges faced by female musicians in the music business.
Instead, Olamide graciously provided the verse for free, exhibiting his caring and helpful personality.
Tiwa Savage conveyed her appreciation and recognized the presence of good people in the industry, like Olamide. The singer, who recently released the tune ‘Commona’ with Olamide, said:
“I was talking to his management, I didn’t want to talk to him directly cus he would want to do it for free. Spoke to his team and they charged N100m. I was willing to pay. When Olamide asked them who the artiste was, they said me and he just said NO. He won’t take it.
He said I am his sister and he knows how difficult it is to make it in the industry as a woman. That’s how he denied and guess what? He gave me the verse for Free. Good people exist and Baddo is one”
