Harmful candies enter Nigerian schools, lady issues urgent warning to parents

A Nigerian woman has expressed concern about dangerous drugs that are purportedly entering schools nationwide under the guise of candies and has advised parents to exercise caution.

In a post on social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, the worried person disclosed that they had heard about a hazardous candy-like substance that could hurt kids.

She cautioned that this substance, sometimes referred to as “strawberry quick” or “strawberry meth,” is purportedly available in a variety of flavors, such as chocolate, peanut butter, cola, cherry, grape, and orange.

Sharing her concerns, she wrote: “I hear it has found its way into Nigerian schools. I hope it’s a hoax, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.”

“Please instruct your children not to accept candy from strangers or even from friends who may have unknowingly received it, thinking it’s harmless. Encourage them to report any suspicious candies to a teacher or principal. Let’s prevent any tragedies from occurring.”
