Gombe secured by 720 NSCDC personnel for Christmas

During the Christmas and New Year celebrations in Gombe State, 720 members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) will be on duty to provide security.

In a statement made available by the command’s public relations officer, Saad Buhari, Waziri Goni, the NSCDC Commandant in the state, explained that the deployment of the personnel was a part of efforts to reduce the insecurity that typically accompanies the festive season in the state.

According to the statement, “The Command has emplaced a robust security arrangement and crime prevention strategies as directed by the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to ensure a crime-free celebration in the state with over 720 personnel to provide security.”

The commandant urged the populace to practice security awareness and provide the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and other agencies with pertinent information.
