To alleviate scarcity, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has allocated petrol directly to marketers.
The disclosure was made on Tuesday by the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN).
The order was issued after a closed-door meeting of both parties, according to President Chinedu Okoronkwo.
IPMAN members agreed to load gasoline at NIPCO, MRS, and other designated depots.
However, marketers were encouraged to upgrade their POS to G4 or G5 for improved payment efficiency.
“Members without POS are also advised to acquire it for efficiency,” Okoronkwo told NAN in Lagos.
Okonkwo urged IPMAN divisions across the country to open their doors and begin selling.
The meeting was attended by NNPCL Managing Director Lawal Sade, VP Downstream Adeyemi Adetunji, IPMAN BoT Chair Abdulkardir Aminu, and exco members.
