Freddie Leonard, a Nollywood actor, has reacted after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested an internet fraudster who used his identity to scam people.
The imposter, Kelvin Aisosa Orhue, was arrested and arraigned before the FCT High Court in Kuje after duping a lady, Cheryldene Cook, out of N104 million by impersonating Freddie.
Orhue, who was arraigned before Justice Nwechonwu, pleaded guilty to the charge and was later found guilty and sentenced to one year in prison with the option of paying a fine of N1,000,000 (one million Naira).
Freddie described women who fall for such a scam as desperate in his Instagram response to the arrest.
He said:
