Four students abducted by gunmen in Ondo as they return home for Christmas

Gunmen in Ondo State who are thought to be kidnappers have kidnapped four Kogi State Polytechnic students.

Along the Akunnu-Ajowa highway in Ondo State’s Akoko North West Area, the gunmen abducted the students. 

The gunmen are said to have ambushed the victims’ car as they were en route home for Christmas and New Year’s celebrations. 

The community of Ajowa, where the students were traveling, has been rocked by the development, causing panic and increasing tension among parents and other community members. 

According to a source in the neighborhood who spoke to our reporter, the victims were abducted as they were almost at their intended destination of Ajowa.

The source added that none of the families of the kidnapped students had heard from the kidnappers. 

ACP Muri Agboola, the commander of police in Ikare-Akoko, confirmed the incident and revealed that his men have been searching the forests alongside the Akunnu-Ajowa Akoko road for the missing students.
