The Federal Government announced the decrease in the electricity tariff for Band A customers.

Previously, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) mandated customers receiving a daily supply of at least 20 hours to pay N225/Kwh.

However, following the approved review, Band A customers will now pay N206.80/Kwh.

Ikeja Electric, in a notice to its customers on Monday, said ”Please be informed of the downward tariff review of our Band A feeders from N225/kwh to N206.80/kwh effective May 6, 2024, with guaranteed availability of 20–24 hours of supply daily.”

The tariffs for Bands B, C, D, and E remain unchanged.”
