Femi Adebayo, a well-known actor in Nollywood, shares an honest account of a recent encounter he had with his father, Oga Bello.
During an interview, Adebayo described how he slapped his father, Adebayo Salami, also known as Oga Bello, during an incident on the set of the 2008 movie “Taiwo Taiwo.”
While filming a scene where he portrayed a notorious armed robber, Adebayo was directed to break into a man’s residence to rob his father.
Femi, in the heat of the moment, unconsciously slapped his father when he refused to give him the money.
Adebayo later apologized for the slap, acknowledging that it was not in the script. He clarified that his goal was to improve the way he portrayed the character.
He said that he apologized to his father despite the unplanned action, and the father, in an interesting turn of events, praised him and said he would have gotten into trouble if he had not hit him.
