A Nigerian father has taken to TikTok to vent his annoyance after he and his daughter were allegedly ejected from the Emirate Mall in Ilorin because of her condition.
The man recounted his experience in the heartfelt video posted on the platform, saying that he had gone to the mall to buy his daughter something but felt ashamed instead.
“I’m very disappointed. I took my baby here for shopping, but it’s so sad that the security officer sent us out because of my baby,” he said.
Apparently because of the child’s condition, the security guard refused them entry without providing a valid reason, he claimed.
Nevertheless, he clarified in a subsequent update that the mall’s chief security officer subsequently stepped in and permitted them entry.
Since then, the video has gone viral, eliciting reactions from worried people who posted a wide range of comments in the comment section, many of which condemn the initial treatment and express support for the man and his child.
