Joy Ikoja, 20, has been placed under remand by an Ekiti court for trying to sever her boyfriend’s manhood.
The suspect was taken into custody by the police after she reported that she had torn her boyfriend Ibrahim Usman’s scrotal sac.
“The defendant on the same date, time, and place, did conduct herself in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace in the society” the prosecutor, Inspector Adeboye Adesegun, told the court.
The prosecutor disclosed that the crime committed by the suspect attempting to cut off the manhood of her boyfriend is a crime under Sections 186 and 255 and Sections 256(a) and 181(d), Criminal Laws of Ekiti State of Nigeria 2021.
The Magistrate, Olatomiwa Daramola, however denied the suspect bail even though her lawyer urged the court to grant his client bail.
