EFCC allegedly blocks lady after she reported ₦5k scam

A Nigerian woman has described how, after contacting the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Instagram to report a scam, she was allegedly blocked by them.

In a post on her page on the well-known social media site X (formerly Twitter), the user, @mojinad, disclosed that she had just been defrauded of ₦5,000.

To her surprise, though, she said that not long after filing her complaint, the EFCC blocked her.

She wrote: “I remember when someone scammed me of my hard-earned 5k and I sent a message to EFCC on IG, and they blocked me.”

As the post circulated online, many concerned users flooded the comment section to share their thoughts on the situation.
