Prior to the scarcity, POS operators charged N100 for every N5000 withdrawn, but now that Naira notes are scarce, they charge up to N1500 for every N5000 withdrawn.
Some POS operators claim they have to make their money back because they allegedly buy Naira notes from bankers and fuel station attendants.
