By hanging a banner in front of her business with an image of a woman who purportedly purchased food on credit but has not paid, a Nigerian food vendor has created quite a stir online.
The banner, which features the young woman’s picture, declares that because of a N2,500 debt, she is not permitted to purchase food from her store using credit.
The vendor’s extreme measure to publicly humiliate the purported debtor has generated a lot of conversation on social media.
“Banned from buying food here on credit. N2500 debt. If seen, please report,” the message on the banner read.
