Daniel Regha, a controversial media figure, elicits reactions when he criticizes Davido’s father for donating N1 billion to a church.
Recall that on Sunday, Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, visited a church and declared he would be donating one billion naira. This announcement created quite a stir on the internet.
Daniel Regha responded by saying that while attending church is OK, it is improper to donate one billion naira in a nation where millions of people are starving to death.
He said that generating jobs would have been a more worthwhile use of the funds.
His words: “Giving to the church is fine, but donating over a billion to any church, in a country where millions are starving & struggling to survive doesn’t seem right. Davido’s dad should’ve used about 80% of that money to create employment opportunities.”
