Dani Olmo comes off the bench to help Barcelona win on his debut.

With a 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano, Hansi Flick’s team maintained their 100% start to the La Liga season. Dani Olmo, who had been on the bench, came off the bench to rescue Barcelona with a goal on his debut.

Unai Lopez’s well-executed finish gave Vallecano the lead early on, and Barca had a frustrating first half as they were unable to break through the hosts.

After much waiting, Barca’s perseverance paid off when an unmarked Raphinha found an unmarked Pedri, who successfully maneuvered the ball past Dani Cardenas.
Lewandowski scored a close-range goal to give Flick’s team the lead, but VAR called a foul on Jules Kounde during the build-up.
But Olmo, who impressed as a substitute on his debut, gave Barca a further boost with a beautifully curled finish.
After a flawless start to the season, Barca’s victory has vaulted them to the top of the La Liga standings and put early pressure on the defending champion Real Madrid.
