A Nigerian couple is rethinking their wedding plans after receiving a jaw-dropping decoration estimate of N200 million from an event planner.
The couple, identified as @paulandprecious on TikTok, shared their shocking experience, sparking widespread reactions online.
According to their conversation with the planner, the quoted price of N200 million was for decor alone and did not include the cost of renting a hall.
When they inquired about what the amount covered, the planner detailed an extravagant package, including stage set design, hall drapery, walkway and dancefloor styling, table settings, luxury chairs and tables, and a picture area design.
Stunned by the exorbitant quote, the couple took to TikTok to share their conversation, humorously captioning it: “You are planning a wedding in Lagos and asked for décor cost 😭😭😭😭 At this point, we may have to elope 😂😂😂😂.”
Their post has since gone viral, with many Nigerians reacting to the staggering cost of high-end weddings in Lagos.
