A lady has sparked reactions online after opening up to her pastor about the challenges of dating as a church girl.
Speaking during a viral sermon, she explained that women in the church are often taught not to chase men, but to wait for men to make the first move. However, she expressed frustration that many church men are hesitant, leaving women worried as they grow older.
She said,
“We are taught to wait for the man to come because we cannot go after a man. Now we are getting older, and time is not on our side.”
She also compared church men to men outside the church, noting that non-church men often seem bolder and more confident, even at a younger age. According to her, it is common for a 20-year-old outside the church to approach her with interest—something rarely experienced with church men.
“We are spiritual, we like Jesus, and it’s very difficult to drag these guys to church, but the church boys are not coming either,” she added.
Concluding her remarks, she asked the pastor what could be done to address the situation, especially since most men showing interest are not spiritually inclined.
Her candid comments have sparked widespread discussion online, with many women relating to her concerns and debating how to balance faith, attraction, and relationships.
