Beauty queen Chidimma Adetshina shares her traumatic journey to Miss Universe, dumping pageantry.
Recall that Chidimma had placed first runner-up in the Miss Universe pageant in 2024.
This occurred after she was humiliated and dragged by South Africans who said she was not originally from their nation.
She stated in a recent interview on Silverbird TV that she has given up pageantry due to the trauma she endured.
She also mentioned that she was leaving South Africa to return to Nigeria.
Chidimma Adetshina said …
“Finishing in the top 2 [at the Miss Universe competition] is still a shocker for me… Honestly, I am done. Pageantry was a real traumatic experience for me
“People still don’t understand how I felt. There were times when I almost quit during the Miss Universe contest. I’m really done with pageantry. I want to focus on myself and establish who I am. And forward my education as well.”
Notably, Adetshina’s incredible pageant career included winning Miss Universe Africa and Oceania and placing first runner-up at Miss Universe.
After withdrawing from Miss South Africa due to a nationality dispute, she decided to compete in Miss Nigeria, which marked the beginning of her successful career.
