Burna Boy gives an explanation for his separation from the national protest.

Burna Boy, a superstar in the Afrobeats genre, has made it clear why he will not be taking part in the current nationwide protests.

Via the microblogging platform X, the internationally acclaimed singer reacted to a video from October 2020 during the EndSars protest where his song was played and the protesters requested that the song be removed.

The African Giant claimed that he lost his fight that day and cursed anyone who mentioned his name during the demonstration.

He wrote: “The fight in me Died on this day. Ogun go doggy anybody wey call my name this time around.”

In another post, he vented about never getting anything from any politician. He said: “No politician has ever given anything. Go ask wike where the land him give me or which money him give me. You think I’m your faves. 😂.”
