BREAKING: Tinubu’s victory: Six states take FG to the Supreme Court

Adamawa, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, and Sokoto states have taken the federal government to the Supreme Court over the conduct, collation, and announcement of the presidential and National Assembly elections on February 25, 2023.

The states want the Supreme Court to declare that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress candidate, was declared the winner of the February 25 presidential election.

They claimed that the entire Presidential Election results announced by INEC Chairman at the National Collation Centre in Abuja were in flagrant violation of the provisions of the Electoral Act.

They want a declaration that the failure to upload the results of each of the 176,974 Polling Units nationwide in the presidential and National Assembly elections was not in accordance with the provisions of the electoral act.

On Wednesday, the INEC declared Tinubu the winner of the presidential election.

Tinubu’s certificate of return has also been issued by the electoral body.
