Nigerian media personality Destiny Ezeyim, popularly known as Radiogad, has publicly demanded that skit maker Chukwuebuka Emmanuel, popularly known as Brain Jotter, pay N100 million to veteran singer Mike Ejeagha.
This request was made in response to Brain Jotter’s viral dance challenge that featured the song “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” by Mike Ejeagha.
The dance challenge, which quickly gained international popularity, saw both young and old participants from Nigeria and the diaspora showcasing their moves to the legendary folklore music.
Radiogad alleges that Brain Jotter has profited immensely from the challenge, claiming that the skit maker earned over N400 million through the use of Mike Ejeagha’s intellectual property.
Considering the enormous profits made from the viral dance challenge, Radiogad responds that the meager N2 million Brain Jotter that was first announced for Ejeagha is far too low.
The post reads:
“Brain Jotter Should Pay Mike Ejeagha 100 million naira for using his sound to trend on social media,” Radiogad asserted on his Instagram page. “Our Legend deserves more than 2 million naira. Brain jotter, you can do better. I give you 24 hours to do the right thing or you will hear from the lawyer I have arranged for Mike Ejeagha.”
