Brain Jotter denies profiting from the song “Gwo Gwo Ngwo” by Mike Ejeagha.

Comedian Brain Jotter has responded to claims that he has profited from the 1983 hit song “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” by Mike Ejeagha.

According to a recent report from VISIOTALKS, Brain Jotter introduced a dancing challenge featuring Ejeagha’s song, which is very upbeat.

It is noteworthy that the 93-year-old man superstar wrote the tune more than 40 years ago.

However, social media platforms have taken notice of Brain Jotter’s recent use of it, raising concerns about revenue distribution and copyright.

However, Brain Jotter emphasized in a statement made public on Tuesday that he is not making any money off of the viral challenge.

He said: “For those who think we ripped him off or we’re making money from this whole thing, I understand your concerns, and they are very valid. I appreciate the fact that you want him to get value for his hard work, which is very valid, and I want you to understand that you are doing something good.”

Sharing a video of his visit to the music legend, Brain Jotter explained, saying, “At the end of the day, no dime was made from this song by me, nothing like that.”

He further explained the mechanics of content monetization on various platforms.

Brain Jotter continued, saying, “Every penny of the music I did post on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms is going to Mike Ejeagha’s record label and production company.

“These platforms have tools for copyright violations, so you can not even make money off of someone else’s song. If I upload that video to YouTube, Mike Ejeagha, the real owner, will receive the money from YouTube’s copyright lawsuit.

“If you post it on Facebook, Facebook will tell you outright that this song does not belong to you; it belongs to this person. They take the revenue and give it to the actual owner.

“The song increased its streams on streaming platforms massively, and there’s no way I can put the song on streaming platforms. Thus, all earnings are going directly to Mike Ejeagha.
