Blord faces serious allegations of fraud, as police confirm arrest.

The crypto billionaire Linus Williams, also known as BLord, has been confirmed to have been arrested by the Nigerian Police Force National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCCC).

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, made the announcement on the official X page.

A number of grave accusations have been made against BLord, including financing terrorism, aiding online fraud, computer-related fraud, cryptocurrency fraud, and regulatory framework noncompliance.

His arrest came about as a result of a social media activist named VeryDarkMan’s petition, which prompted police action.

In a detailed statement, the NPF-NCCC revealed:

“ALLEGED FRAUD, VIOLATION OF CBN ACT, POLICE INTERROGATES CEO BLORD GROUP OF COMPANIES, LINUS WILLIAMS”.

“The FCID (NPF-NCCC) is currently investigating complaints lodged against BLORD GROUP, BLORD REAL ESTATE LTD, BLORD JETPAYE LIMITED, and BILLPOINT TECHNOLOGY.”

“These offences include allegations bothering on cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.”

“We will do due diligence in our investigations. Our cyber space in Nigeria must be safe and secured by all means. We are committed to achieving that.”
