Reality TV star, Bella Okagbue faces backlash following a heated exchange with an online troll who insulted her intelligence.
When the former housemate of Big Brother Naija posted gorgeous pictures of herself from an event on the X platform, some people praised her appearance while others cursed at her.
Bella’s quick and scathing response to a specific troll’s remark about a “empty head” was, “Like your father’s account balance!”
Although Bella’s return demonstrated her quick wit, many internet users took issue with her for “broke-shaming” the troll in the process.
Rather than garnering support, Bella’s response sparked more mockery, with some users criticizing her word choice and making fun of her for using her financial status as a point of offense.
Since then, the incident has gone viral, sparking discussion about how celebrities respond to online criticism and how wealth is used as a clapback tactic.

Her fans, however, also dashed to support their favourite, @Wenndyyyyyyyy reacted, “Every Public figure should be like this once in a while.When a netizen insults you unprovoked give them SMACK DOWN immediately cos why do some persons think it’s ok to insult or try to bully these people everytime like they’re not human beings. Very silly behavior☹️.”
