Isa Mohammed Ashiru, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for governor in Kaduna State, denounced the attack in the Kaura Local Government Area on Tuesday
In separate attacks on Sunday night in the Malagum 1 and Sokwong communities of the Kagoro chiefdom in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, terrorists are said to have killed over 28 people.
Ashiru responded on the Kaduna PDP Facebook page, calling the killings and burning of several homes in the Kaura LGA the work of enemies and urging those with bad intentions to stop because the law’s long arm would soon catch them.
“Against the relative peace being enjoyed by most of our communities, I received the sad news of the attack in Malagum 1 and Sokwong communities in Kagoro chiefdom, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State,” he posted.
He declared that the existence of such a senseless act among us is depressing and repugnant.
He strongly denounced the attack and sent his sincere condolences to the Kagoro chief, the families of the victims, and the entire Kaura LGA populace.
