Asake responds to fans’ request to sing his songs in English

The afrobeat sensation Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, has answered to his fans’ demands to perform more of his songs in English.

This comes after the much awaited release of Asake’s third studio album, “Lungu Boy,” which included collaborations with Travis Scott, Stormzy, and Wizkid, among other musicians.

Owing to the majority of his lyrics being in Yoruba, some fans claimed they could not relate to his songs.

In response, the singer said in a recent Instagram Live session that, despite being able to sing in English, he seems more at ease singing in Yoruba.

To be a fan of him, though, one must appreciate his Yoruba lyrics.
