A Nigerian man has taken to social media to share a heart-warming encounter with an area boy during the festive season.
The man, identified as @madprofitguy on X (formerly Twitter), revealed that he regularly gives money to the area boy. However, during the festive period, the situation took an unexpected turn.
According to him, the area boy stopped his car, and he initially assumed the young man wanted to ask for more money. To his surprise, the area boy told him, “It’s my turn to dash you money today,” and handed him a neatly wrapped parcel.
Excited by the gesture, the man accepted the gift without checking its contents. It took him over three hours to realize that the parcel contained new ₦5 notes totaling ₦500.
Despite the small amount, he said he truly appreciated the gift, especially because it came in special packaging and was given with genuine goodwill.
The tweet, which has since garnered over 400,000 views, also included a photo of him holding the parcel. In his message, he encouraged people to give to others, emphasizing that no gift is too small, especially during the festive season.
