The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) is accepting applications from recent graduates as well as seasoned professionals for job openings at various levels.
The announcement was made through a post on NNPC’s official X handle on Friday, July 26, 2024.
In order to prevent fraudulent schemes, the company stressed how important it is to submit applications through its official website.
NNPC made it clear that there are no application fees for jobs, and it cautioned candidates against giving false information since doing so could lead to instant disqualification and possible legal action.
Opportunities for Fresh Graduates
For fresh graduates, NNPC is offering positions under the Graduate Trainee program. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in First Class or Second Class Upper Division, or an HND (Distinction).
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in Second Class Lower Division with a completed Master’s Degree, or an HND (Upper Credit) with a completed Master’s Degree.
- Graduation from an accredited institution not earlier than 2019.
- Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
- Not more than 28 years of age as of December 31, 2024.
- Possess good communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.
The company is looking for graduates from diverse fields, including Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, and Law.
Positions for Experienced Professionals
NNPC is also recruiting experienced professionals for the Supervisory Cadre. These candidates are expected to:
- Provide professional and leadership expertise to achieve NNPC’s business objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies for operational excellence.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with statutory regulations.
- Drive team performance and development.
Applicants must possess qualifications in relevant disciplines from skill pools such as Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering, Well Engineering, General Engineering, Commercial Finance, Information Technology, Legal, and Security.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in the First Class/Second Class Upper Division, or an HND (Distinction), with or without a completed Master’s Degree.
