Aminu Mohammed, a final-year student at the Federal University of Dutse, has apologized to Aisha Buhari, the First Lady, for criticizing her.
Mohammed claimed in a Hausa tweet that Aisha was fattening herself on the money of the poor.
He was apprehended by security personnel and arraigned in FCT High Court No. 14. However, Aisha withdrew the case against Aminu Adamu Mohammed on Friday.
Fidelis Ogbobe, her prosecutor, said the withdrawal was due to the intervention of well-meaning Nigerians.
Mohammed stated on his Twitter page on Sunday that he had no intention of hurting her feelings.
“I would also like to use this medium to express my heartfelt gratitude to those who assisted me during the darkest hours of my life; man cannot escape his fate, but my experience should serve as a lesson to all of us.” Thank you, everyone, and one love.
”I would like to use this medium to express my sincere apologies to those I’ve hurt especially our mother, Aisha Buhari. It was never my intention to hurt your feelings and insha Allah I will change for the better. However, I’m also grateful for your forgiveness, thank you mama.”
