Regina Daniels, a Nollywood actress, has addressed the criticism she faced for advocating for a nonviolent nationwide demonstration.
On the first day of the nationwide protests against bad governance, Regina Daniels shared a video in which she pleaded with Nigerians to choose nonviolent protests. You may remember this.
Nigerians, however, didn’t think Regina Daniels was in the right position to give anyone advice, urging her to avoid setting herself up for drags on social media.
The actress acknowledged in a recent video posted to her Instagram page that she is fortunate to be in her role, but that does not stop her from thinking that her domestic help deserves a pay increase.
She let out her annoyance at critics, stating that Nigeria cannot be changed in a single day and that she is not advocating for anyone because she is not in need of love.
Regina also showed a video of demonstrators in the north waving Russian flags to indicate that the demonstration was becoming too big.
Her caption read: “I speak as a proud citizen of this Great Country ! WE ALL WANT A GREAT NIGERIA 🇳🇬”
Her video was met with more criticism in the online comment section from viewers.
