Captain Arinze Odira Onyiliofor, a Nigerian pilot based in the United States, laments after being charged $1950 per month for daycare, which is roughly N1.3 million.
The pilot took to Twitter to lament the cost of sending his under-5-year-old daughter to school in a Western country.
He did, however, suggest that he and his mother home-school his daughter until she is at least 5 years old.
In Arinze’s words;
“My daughter’s daycare tuition is going to be $1950 per month.
I’ve just instructed my mum, her grandmother, to pack her bags and get ready to travel. She was a teacher before retiring. She is about to come out of retirement. My daughter should get ready to be home-schooled till she is 5.
I didn’t kill my parents. My daughter is not going to kill me.”
Netizens chimed in with their thoughts on the subject, while Nigerians emphasized the rate as exorbitant.
