A man has sparked online debate after insisting that a man cannot truly call himself masculine if he does not financially provide for his girlfriend or wife.
In a viral video, he emphasized that once men are financially able, they should cover all expenses for their partners.
“You can’t call yourself a man if you’re not paying for everything. Yes, you pay for the date, you pay for the trip, her meals, her nails, her hair. Men who don’t like to hear this are not men. It’s not just about paying for dates or food, it’s about providing for everything. If you have it, provide,” he said.
He also advised men who are not yet financially stable to focus on self-development and saving before entering relationships.
“If you don’t have it, you should not be dating. Work on getting your account right, improving yourself. But if you have your life together, you should provide. A girlfriend or wife should not worry financially,” he added.
The post has divided opinions online. Some agree that financial provision is part of masculinity, while others argue the idea is outdated and unrealistic in modern relationships.
