Anthony Kosisochukwu Okafor, a 37-year-old Nigerian, has been placed under arrest for allegedly killing his older brother, Emmanuel Okafor, by stabbing him in the chest with a stick during a fight over food in Anambra State.
The incident happened on Friday at Adegbe Village, Abagana, in the Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.
According to witnesses, the dispute between the siblings turned physical.
During the altercation, Kosisochukwu allegedly used a stick to stab his brother in the chest, seriously injuring him.
“The fight broke out after a heated argument over foodstuffs in their home. The younger brother used a stick to pierce his elder brother’s chest, and he collapsed,” an eyewitness recounted.
Emmanuel was rushed to the hospital but was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
